Hand-assembled in the UK, with a stainless steel body and cast aluminium ends. The bread meets only metal inside the slots. Slot-selector control heats one or both slots, so toasting a single slice does not burn energy on an empty one. Bagel setting, defrost function and a high-lift mechanism for smaller items. The ProHeat elements are replaceable rather than disposable, so the toaster is built to be repaired instead of thrown away.
